Step into the spotlight at Sunday Soirée, an exclusive monthly showcase hosted by Menagerie of Misfits Productions at the glamorous Blue Eyes Cocktail Lounge in Canberra. We’re inviting performers of all experience levels in burlesque, pole, drag, cabaret, belly dancing, comedy, singing, and magic to apply for a chance to dazzle our audience with vintage-inspired acts.
Act Requirements:
- Audience interaction is encouraged to enhance the immersive experience
- Performances must adhere to a vintage theme (1920s–1960s)
- Costuming should reflect the chosen era’s style
- Music should be era-specific or modern tracks reimagined in a vintage style (e.g., Postmodern Jukebox)
- Acts are to be choreographed for roaming style, engaging with the audience throughout the venue
Step into the world of Artisan Bohemia, an exclusive monthly sip and sketch event hosted by Menagerie of Misfits Productions at the elegant Blue Eyes Cocktail Lounge in Canberra. We’re seeking burlesque, drag, cabaret, pole performers, and other artistic models to participate in this immersive experience, where art and performance intertwine.
Model Requirements:
- Engagement: While posing, subtle interaction with the audience is encouraged to enhance the artistic atmosphere
- Confidence in Your Craft: All experience levels welcome; if you can present an amazing costume and bring flair, personality, and character, we’re here to support you
- Comfortable Presentation: Choose attire that makes you feel at ease and aligns with the vintage theme (1920s–1960s)
Menagerie of Misfits and Casino Canberra are joining forces to unleash the “FESTIVAL OF FIERCE” — a two-night explosion of bold creativity, wild vulnerability, and glitter-drenched power in the LOTUS ROOM ON Friday 7th and Saturday 8th November 2025. 💥
We’re calling all Burlesque Baddies, Pole Daredevils, Drag Divas, and Cabaret Disruptors to bring the acts that live deep in your bones — whether polished or still brewing in the sparkly shadows of your soul. 💃✨
This is your sign! This is your Time! That act you worked so hard on. That act you’ve been holding onto? Break it out and apply — get your sh!t together and lets get it on a stage! 👀💣
What you’ll have to work with:
🎭 A raised stage
🪩 A full dance floor for audience interaction in cabaret style seating
🔥 A 360° centre-dance floor X-Pole (plus a possible second for duos/groups)
👑 A 180 seated crowd craving art that stirs, shocks, inspires & delights🌈 A safe, inclusive space for the queer community
♿️ Disability access available, with lift access directly to the Lotus Room

Please note: Just Dance, Applause, and Abracadabra are reserved for group routines and will not be available for solo or small group acts.
